Caroline's Room

Sorry it's taken me a while to get these up, but we wanted to show you what Caroline's room looks like so far! This was our guest bedroom so we moved everything out one weekend and Bryan, Seve, and our neighbor Demetrie all helped put her furniture together. We didn't have to paint anything - thank goodness - and the rug is new too.
We've ordered her bedding but it hasn't arrived yet but so you have an idea it's a pink and brown damask pattern paired with pink and white polka dots. It's going to be super cute!! Still left to fill the room is a bookcase and possibly a rocker/glider though we haven't decided if that's going to go in her room or our room.
I love walking up the stairs and seeing her room set up so far. Sometimes I find myself just standing in there looking around. I can't believe we're actually going to have a daughter that will call this room her own. In the next few weeks before her arrival, it's going to be filled with more and more "stuff" which is very exciting. But the most exciting part will be when we get to bring her home and start using her room - that's when it will be filled and overflowing with love.

Goodbye Big Red Truck
Hello Big Momma!

Last week it was time to say goodbye to my truck that I got for graduation when I was back in South Carolina. I still remember the day that my roommate, Kylene, and I went to pick it up. It was brand-spankin' new with only 6 miles on it and I thought I was so cool!! That was the truck that my friend Mandy and I drove cross-country after graduation to bring it home to California. I've helped lots of people move. It's been to three different NASCAR race tracks (Darlington, Texas, and California). I loved my truck but as life goes, it's time to grow up!
Introducing...Big Momma!! (no I'm not talking about myself!) It's the new family car so that Caroline can ride in style and safety! Big Momma got her name because, well, for one, she's big! and two because she's going to be very protective, and three, it's definitely a "mom" car. We LOVE it!!
So a little side note on how we sold the Big Red Truck. Bryan posted it on Craigslist and within two hours he had already received almost 10 phone calls. He went and met one guy and it was sold! The guy didn't even test-drive it!! After getting all the paperwork in order, it was time to make the hand-off. Bryan and I went and met him at Fresca's, filled out the paperwork, and watched him drive off in my truck. I have to admit I was a little sad to see her go!! The best part about it was that we got a phone call from him a couple days later saying how much he loved the truck and was so happy to be driving it. That made me feel good to know that someone else was enjoying her as much as I did!!

Slumber Party!

On Friday night, it was slumber party time with Uncle B and Aunt Sara. Alyssa and Gavin came over to spend the night with us. It was pizza, popcorn, ice cream and movie night!! Finding Nemo and Meet the Robinson's were the movies of choice. Unfortunately I was up with Gavin at 6am the next morning and had the chance to watch Finding Nemo again!! Lucky me!!

We had a great time and were pooped the next day!!
