Solid Food - The New Frontier
It's been a little over a week now that we've embarked on the wild adventure of solid food. So far Caroline has had rice cereal and peas. Tomorrow I think we're going to venture onto green beans. Yummy...yummy!

Daycare
Caroline went to daycare for the first time today and...I cried! She, of course, was perfectly fine! We found an in-home daycare that we really like; Gavin actually went there when he was a baby. It's a husband and wife that run the daycare together in their home and they only live about 2 minutes away.
I dropped her off this morning and gave Leny the rundown on her schedule and what she likes and doesn't like. She asked me if this was the first time Caroline had been to daycare and when I said yes, she asked me if I was going to cry, and of course the tears were already running. I hurried up, kissed Caroline's chubby cheeks, and said my goodbyes. Bryan picked her up this afternoon and they said she was a perfect angel. She took her three naps, played, and drank all her bottles. I'm so happy she napped there because she's been fighting them with us. She's figured out what kind of cry actually gets Bryan and I to come check on her. If you heard her cry, you'd think she was in serious pain. But of course you walk in to check on her and immediately she's smiling at you from ear to ear.
So anyways, they couldn't believe how "developed" she is - not sure if that's a nice way of saying "she's a huge baby"(?). I'm sure she loved being around all the kids today. She must have had a lot of stimulation because she barely made it through her bottle before going to sleep at 6:30 which is a little early for her.
She's just going to daycare on Mondays right now until the end of the month when they can take her full-time. Until then she'll continue to be watched by a different person each day (my mom, Bryan's mom, Kelly from small group, and then Bryan or myself). It's a little crazy sometimes but it's all working out.
